On February 18, 2008 Arnold Law Firm, LLC opened their doors at 525 East Kansas City Road, Olathe, Kansas. Those first months were filled with the chaos of completing our remodel and otherwise organizing our office. We at Arnold Law Firm, LLC have had the privilege of representing many people in our first year of practice. We develop an intense bond with our clients and believe their case is our case.

Raytown Man in 6-Year Wins Custody of Son After Three Appearances Before The Missouri Supreme Court
Craig Lentz is a client of Arnold Law Firm, LLC. Attorney Robert Arnold has been the attorney on all three appearances made before the Missouri Supreme Cour concerning this case. DUI Dismissed
In January 2009 Arnold Law Firm, LLC successfully defended a client in a DUI. The case was dismissed before trial on the matter. Our client had refused a breath test and we successfully won this case for him.
Probation over Prison in Sex Crime
Aggravated Indecent Liberties case brought to successful conclusion by Arnold Law Firm, LLC. In March of 2008 Arnold Law Firm, LLC was retained to represent a client on and Aggravated Indecent Liberties Charge. This is a level 3 offense that carries a presumptive prison sentence of 55 to 247 months. Arnold Law Firm, LLC completed our investigation and evaluation. Our client accepted our advice, obtained various evaluations and treatment options. After completing our investigation and diligent efforts in negotiating the case, we secured a plea from the prosecution whereby the State made a joint recommendation for probation. The Court sentenced the client to probation rather than the presumptive prison sentence.
Felony Convictions Avoided
In April of 2008 Arnold Law Firm, LLC was retained by a client to represent him in a case where the State alleged he had committed Aggravated Burglary, Aggravated Assault, Criminal Threat, and various other charges. After the preliminary hearing and the thorough investigation on our part, and the client's complete cooperation in following our recommendations, the State agreed to a plea to several misdemeanor charges and dismissed all felony charges. The client was sentenced to probation and avoided a felony conviction.
Special Prosecutor Investigation
In March of 2008 Arnold Law Firm, LLC was appointed by Phill Kline, the then Johnson County District Attorney to investigate the former Attorney General of the State of Kansas, Paul J. Morrison, in various allegations made by a former employee of the Johnson County District Attorney's office while Mr. Morrison was the Johnson County District Attorney. Despite intense public scrutiny, Arnold Law Firm, LLC completed an extensive investigation into the matter. Upon completion of the investigation, Arnold Law Firm, LLC elected to not file criminal charges.
Supreme Court and Court of Appeals Victories
The first case the law firm of Arnold Law Firm, LLC was retained to handle involved an ongoing custody battle of a father. The father has already taken the case to the Missouri Supreme Court and won. The matter was remanded back to the trial Court for hearing from September through November of 2007. The Court made further findings adverse to our client. He appealed to the Missouri Court of Appeals. In January of 2009 the Missouri Court of Appeals again ruled in favor of Arnold Law Firm, LLC's client. The matter was remanded for additional evidence.
Past due Child Support no reason to stop Motion to Modify Custody; Arnold Law Firm, LLC win Constitutional challenge.
Missouri law says that a person who is $10,000.00 of more delinquent in child support is prohibited from filing a motion to modify custody. In April of 2008 Arnold Law Firm, LLC filed a motion to modify custody in Jackson County, Missouri. The opposing party alleged that the client of Arnold Law Firm, LLC was more than $10,000.00 delinquent in child support and therefore our client's motion should be dismissed. On behalf of our client, Arnold Law Firm, LLC responded that Missouri law was unconstitutional. In February of 2009 the Judge in Jackson County, Missouri Circuit Court agreed and found the Missouri law unconstitutional. It is anticipated this matter will be appealed. The Missouri Legislature has since overturned this statute.
Sexual Harassment Lawsuit Dismissed against A&K Client
In August of 2008 a sexual harassment lawsuit was filed against one of Arnold Law Firm, LLC's business clients. Arnold Law Firm, LLC conducted investigation, discovery, and arbitration. In February 2009 Arnold Law Firm, LLC as a result of the concerted efforts of everyone at Arnold Law Firm, LLC, the plaintiff dismissed her complaint against our client, concluding another successful result for one of our clients.
20 years in Prison avoided for A&K client on Aggravated Arson case
In October 2008 a client of Arnold Law Firm, LLC was charged with Aggravated Arson. Because of his prior history, and the nature of the charges, he was facing more than 20 years in prison. The Preliminary hearing was held in January of 2009. The staff at A&K completed an intensive investigation, and was involved in significant litigation on the case. Finally, as a result of the efforts of the Arnold Law Firm, LLC team working with the client, we secured a plea agreement for him which for which he will be sentenced to time served.
Felony DUI Jury Acquittal
In March 2009 an Arnold Law Firm LLC client was arrested for DUI. If convicted, this would have been the client’s third DUI. In Kansas, a third conviction is a felony conviction and the client would have lost many civil rights in addition to the criminal penalties that went with the conviction. In February of 2010 the case proceeded to trial. After intense litigation and aggressive defense, the Arnold Law Firm, LLC won a hard fought acquittal for our client.
Felonies dismissed for Domestic Incident
In March 2010 an Arnold Law Firm LLC client was arrested after a domestic incident and charged with serious felonies in Jackson County, Missouri Circuit Court. The client contacted Arnold Law Firm LLC. Arnold Law Firm LLC commenced an investigation and obtained information that we later used at a Preliminary Hearing where the charges were dismissed against our client.
DUI Jury Trial results in acquittal
A client of Arnold Law Firm LLC was arrested for his second DUI early on the morning of January 1, 2010. Arnold Law Firm investigated the case and recommended that the client take the case to jury trial. On November 15, 2010 the client was acquitted and found not guilty of the DUI. He was, however, convicted of failing to pay a toll fee on the Kansas Turnpike.
Rape and Aggravated Sodomy charges dismissed after client follows Arnold Law Firm advice
In January 2010 Attorney Keck was contacted by a client who was being questioned about Rape and Aggravated Sodomy charges being leveled against him. His initial question was whether he should give a statement to law enforcement. As in many cases like this, the police were not trying to fairly investigate the case. They were trying to build a case against our client. The state filed Rape and Aggravated Sodomy charges against the client. Arnold Law Firm LLC and two investigative firms spent a great deal of time investigating and researching the case. We made a presentation to the prosecutor and lack of evidence after the investigation lead to the felony charges being dismissed. The client did plead to a few misdemeanor charges, but is not going to do any jail or prison time. The best advice to take away from this case is that you should always exercise your constitutional rights under the 5th amendment.
